Unfortunately, Mother Nature isn’t cooperating with us today! With the recent weather and current field conditions, we’ve decided to postpone today’s Punt, Pass & Kick event.
The football field should be great for tonight’s high school game — but it’s a little too soggy for a bunch of kids running, punting, passing, and kicking on it!
This is a postponement, not a cancellation. We’ll look at the school calendar, find an open day, and announce a new date as soon as we can make a plan.
Even though PPK won’t happen tonight, we still want to recognize the local businesses, organizations, and individuals who stepped up to sponsor our Lyman JAG students. Our sponsorship wall will be displayed at tonight’s football game, and we’ll recognize our sponsors during halftime.

LYMAN SCHOOL DISTRICT – TRANSPORTATION REMINDER
Dear Lyman School District Families,
We would like to remind all families of the importance of having students ready and on time for morning bus transportation. Recently, some of our buses have been arriving at school later than scheduled times due to students not being prepared to board when the bus arrives.
To help keep our routes on schedule and ensure all students arrive at school on time, please have your student ready and waiting for the bus prior to the scheduled pickup/departure time. Even a few minutes of waiting at multiple stops can significantly impact the entire route.
Morning Bus Times:
Kennebec to Presho: Departs Kennebec at 8:00 a.m.
Presho to Kennebec: Departs Presho at 8:15 a.m.
Lower Brule Buses: Gary arrives in West Brule at 7:00am and Lower Brule at 7:30am. Gary departs by 7:40am. Mr. Herman arrives in Lower Brule at 7:30am and departs at 7:35am.
Reliance Bus: Middle School/High School – Departs at 7:55 a.m.
Elementary – Departs at 8:10 a.m.
Vivian: Pickup at 7:45 a.m.
We appreciate your help in making sure students are prepared and ready to board when the bus arrives. Staying on schedule is important not only for your student, but for every student riding the route.
Middle School & High School Activity Transportation:
We would also like to remind Middle School and High School parents/guardians that following games, families are responsible for providing transportation home for their student-athletes after the bus returns to the district. The District does not provide transportation home following games after the bus gets back to the school (the bus will stop in Reliance, Kennebec, Presho, and Vivian if it is on the way).
