REMINDER! Winter sports meeting for parents/athletes/coaches in Presho tonight at 6 pm CT. We will meet in the Raider gym, then GBB, BBB, sideline cheer, and wrestling will break off and visit with their respective coach. Have a great evening!

Save the Dates! Christmas Concerts! The middle school/high school concert will be on Wednesday, December 13th at 2:00. The elementary concert will be on Thursday, December 14th at 2:00. BOTH concerts will be in Presho.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES: SPECIAL EDUCATION PARA-PROFESSIONAL, Lyman Elementary - Kennebec, S.D. The Lyman School District is looking for two (2) para-professional to serve in the Lyman Elementary Special Education department. This individual will help special education staff provide for physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities in special education setting. Assist in implementation of classroom programs, including self-help, behavior management, and instruction programs. One more reminder that tomorrow is picture retake day in both Kennebec and Presho. Pictures will begin around 8 am and they will end as soon as all retakes are complete. If you plan on attending, we would advise you arrive promptly. Have a great week!

ANNOUCEMENT! We will be having a parent meeting for all athletes participating in a winter sport on Wednesday Nov. 15th at 6 pm CT in the Raider gym. Mr. Buus will address the whole group and then each sport will break off and meet with their respective coach and discuss items for the season. We highly encourage at least one parent to attend with their student-athlete. If you are unable to attend, please reach out to your program's coach and go over the items discussed at this meeting. Thanks again for all you do for the student-athletes in the Lyman School District. Looking forward to an awesome winter sport season!

Lyman School busses are leaving Presho. Please plan on them arriving to their destinations potentially 45 minutes earlier than normal. The Veterans Day program just ended and students were dismissed for the day.

Good morning, This message is to inform you of a medical event that occurred with a staff member this morning at Lyman Elementary in Kennebec. Staff responded to the event immediately and Lyman County first responders arrived and took over care and transported to a medical facility. We will be supporting our students that were impacted directly by the event and will allow them to contact their parents or guardians if they wish to do so. We will continue the day with a normal schedule. Thank you for your time, we wanted to make sure we communicated to parents and guardians about the event.

Reminder Parents, any students participating in a winter sport that do not have a physical, please get your physical completed and paperwork turned in to the admin office prior to the start of your season. You will not be allowed to practice until that is complete. Thank you and have a great day.

Elementary parents- with the early release on Friday, we are switching our menu JUST in the elementary. Tomorrow will be chicken noodle soup, Friday will be pulled pork sandwiches. Again, we release at 12:30 on Friday. Thanks!

Good morning - The Lyman School District will dismiss early (12:30pm) on Friday, Nov. 3 due to school facilities being utilized for funeral services. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility in handling this change in the school schedule.

Lyman Parents: This correspondence is to inform you that Lyman Elementary and Lyman MS/HS held a lock down drill this afternoon at approximately 1:30pm. This drill was done in cooperation with the Lyman Co. Sheriff's Office and will be done periodically to ensure our schools are prepared for these events should they be required. Have a great weekend.

Financial Aid night on Tuesday, October 24 at 7:00 pm in Ms. Mohr's room at LHS. This meeting is for all seniors and their parents to assist them with scholarship applications and the new FAFSA guidelines. The student council will host a dinner prior to the meeting at 6:30.
