Good Evening Lyman Family, Today we had confirmed positive Covid tests for students in the Lyman MS and HS. We have done our best to close contact trace all students that would have been close contacts. We also had our bus route that had known positive cases on it, mask up for the ride home tonight in case we did not get all cases identified.
Before sending your child to school tomorrow this is a reminder to screen your child for symptoms. The symptoms that were common with the cases that tested positive today were runny nose, sore throat, head ache, sneezing, and cough.
There are no MS practices or activity bus today. Students will be arriving home on their normal bus schedule.

Congrats to our Oral Interp Crew at Districts today. Rachel (Poetry) qualified individually for Regions. Ambrus, Rachel, Carly, and Marina ( Reader’s Theater) qualified as a group.
HSFB- 2nd Round Playoffs - Thursday at 7 CT. Timberlake vs Lyman. In Presho. No Activity Passes allowed. Admission is $5 for Students and $7 for Adults.
HSVB- 7B Region - Monday at 4:30 MT/5:30CT. Lyman will travel to Oelrichs.

5-6 is a Haunted House in the High School for MS/HS Students. Entry is .50 cents and proceeds will go to the Women's Shelter.
@6 Only HS students, there is supper in Mrs. Mohr's room followed by a dance.

Our Farm to Plate initiative is up and running and we are looking for donations or estimates on costs to purchase beef directly from the farmer. We have open dates coming up and would love to keep the cycle of fresh beef going for our school. The next date we need will be November 2nd. We will donate every two weeks after that. (November 16, November 30, December 14. We will then resume donations/purchasing mid January. The drop off time to Dehaai Processing is 7:30 am on Tuesday mornings. This beef needs to pass STATE inspection. We have been turning beef into 85/15 hamburger. Recommendation would be to have this beef grain fed for 45-60 days prior to coming to the locker. We are trying to prevent from having to add fat from other animals. With beef needing to pass state inspection, please do not make inquiries for sickly beef that do not pass inspection. All of that meat is thrown away at the processing plant if there is a failed inspection.
