We are in need of some old t-shirts and sheets to use for the burning of the "L" on Sunday. If anyone has anything they'd like to donate, please bring it to the high school ASAP so we can get it put together. Thank you!

Homecoming week is approaching! September 19 is the official start to our festivities. The theme of Homecoming this year is Raider Pride ~ Celebrate Being a Raider. After not being able to properly celebrate Homecoming last year, we are bringing back the Raider Pride and celebrating our students, staff, alumni, and community. Deck out your floats in red, black, and white to show your spirit!
Important things to note:
Coronation will take place on Sunday 9/19 at 6pm on the Football Field. The burning of the “L” will follow the coronation. This is a change from the school calendar.
We are finalizing a few more fun activities and will update you as soon as we have concrete information.
UPDATE: HSVB @ New Underwood on Thursday (9/9) will be moved up to a 5:00pm MT start. (JV followed by Varsity)
Developmental screenings for children in the Lyman School District aged birth-5 will take place Monday, September 13th beginning at 9:30 at Lyman Elementary School in Kennebec. Please call the Elementary office to schedule an appointment.

"Open attendance with masks required at indoor events for spectators, event workers, and team personnel. Masks are not required for participants during physical activity. Concessions will be available."

We will be playing an A,B,& C Match.
Technical Difficulties: The video is not playing that was sent out. The video updated that we do currently have covid cases with students. Those students have been quarantined. This has caused close contacts and those have been notified. That being said, CDC guidance covers that if you have been vaccinated ,you do NOT need to quarantine, but you will need to wear a mask in the building if you are a close contact.
In addition quarantine rules are 10 days after first symptom for positive cases.
If you are a close contact and non vaccinated your quarantine may end after 7 days with a negative test between day 5 and day 7.
Also, it is strongly recommended that face coverings are used in our buildings to ensure we are not spreading the COVID 19 virus. Masks are not required, but are strongly recommended.

HS VB Plays @ White River tonight. JV starts at 6:30 followed by the Varsity.
MS Football @ 4:00pm Monday August 30th against KWL in Presho. JV to follow.
The Lyman School is looking for a Head Cook at the Elementary School. The job pays $15 to $18 an hour depending on experience. This is only a 180 day contract. It also comes with all employee benefits. SD Retirement and Insurance benefits.

Good morning Lyman families! Today is the first day of school! Welcome back!! Busses will run the same as last year.
Gary and Mr Herman will run their same Lower Brule routes as last year and will leave the station in West Brule at 7:15 and the Community center at 7:35.
Mr.Tschudy will be running the Vivian/Presho/Kennebec route this year. He will pick up in Vivian at the post office between 7:45-7:50. He will pick up and leave Presho at 8:15.
Any MS/HS students needing to ride to Presho from Kennebec need to meet outside the doors of the Kennebec School by 8:15 and they will ride Mr Johnson’s bus or Ms Hamer’s bus.
