Lyman School District

Hello Lyman Students and Parents: This is a reminder that the Lyman School District has its first early dismissal on Wednesday, September 18 at 1:00pm. Please plan accordingly in regards to busses arriving home earlier due to this early release. There will be no middle school activities. High School activities will begin at normal times and students that ride the activities bus will have arrangements made for them to stay for activities. The activity bus will also run at its normal time. These early releases are to allow staff development and collaboration on a consistent basis through the school year. There will be early dismissals in Oct., Nov., Feb., March and April. Those dates can be found on the school calendar. Thank you and have a great day.

Happy Labor Day! Just a quick note about some of the activities that will be going this week in the Lyman School District. See below! Tuesday Sept. 3rd our Cross Country team will be traveling to Gregory. Meet begins at 2:30 PM CST at the Gregory Golf Course.. Tuesday Sept. 3rd our High School Volleyball team will host White River in the Lyman Gardens, JV starts at 6:30 PM CST, Varsity will follow. .Tuesday Sept. 3rd our Middle School football team will host Kadoka, game time at 4:30 PM CST at the Lyman Football Complex. Only a Middle School Game will be played. Wednesday Sept. 4th FFA travels to Sunshine Bible School for Land and Range Judging Thursday Sept. 5th our High School Volleyball team hosts Gregory in the Lyman Gardens, C-Team starts at 5:15 PM CST, JV at 6:15 PM CST, Varsity will follow. No Football game this Friday, Lyman Football Team has a bye this week. Saturday Sept. 7th our Competitive Cheer team travels to Pierre. Competition for the event begins at 11:00 AM CST. We had another great week at Lyman Elementary! Our PBIS ticket winners got to ride in an armored vehicle today. Huge thank you to Sheriff Manger for taking the kids!! Mrs. Schindler's fifth grade science class practiced measuring liquids for future labs. And, of course, congratulations to our students of the week!!! #raiderpride

We had an outstanding first week of school at Lyman Elementary full of fun assemblies, activities in the classrooms, and some lucky PBIS ticket winners squirting Mrs. Smith with water! It's going to be a fabulous year!!! Congratulations to our first students of the week!

GAME DAY! Tonight our Lyman Raider Football team opens up the 2024 season vs. the Dupree Tigers in Presho. Game time is 7:00 PM CST. ANNOUNCEMENT! All 6-12th grade boys and girls interested in going out for Cross Country, there will be a meeting tomorrow immediately after school in the Commons area. Be prepared to sign out your equipment on Wednesday and start practice this week.
