Middle School Volleyball will have a meeting on Wednesday August 21st immediately after school in Mrs. Wagner's room for all middle school girls interested in playing middle school volleyball. BACK TO SCHOOL ! Welcome back students! Just a couple quick reminders for tomorrow. ALL STUDENTS who drive to school will need to park in the East parking lot just east of the Lyman Gardens. The main parking lot will be reserved for staff and bus parking. Also, all 9-12th grade high school students will meet in the Raider gym to start school for a quick assembly. Middle school students will report to their middle school homeroom teachers. If you were unable to attend the open house or if you were unable to get your schedule, we will have them at the assembly in the morning! Looking forward to a great first day of school. Go Raiders!

Happy Friday! There will be a Parent-Athlete-Coach meeting (PAC) on August 4th at 7 pm in the Lyman Gardens. Athletes participating in a fall sport and their parents are required to attend. Have a great Alumni weekend!
Summer school begins on Monday, July 29th until Friday, August 9th starting at 8:30 AM and concluding at 11:30 AM. *If you have not already been contacted, your child does not need to attend.
Bus pickups will be available from Lower Brule, with pickups at 7:45 AM from both the gas station (uphill) and the community center (down below). In Reliance, pickup will be at 8:10 AM at the bus stop, and in Presho, pickup will be at the high school at 8:15 AM.
Students will be provided with breakfast and a light lunch during their time at summer school. We are looking forward to working with your child over these two weeks!
We have some of the best building and grounds crew around! Thank you for all the work you are putting in to have our facilities at Lyman Elementary in Kennebec ready and waiting for our students and staff in August!

Congratulations to Lyman Staff Member and JAG Coordinator Chad Johnson. He has been named the 2024 American Legion National Educator of the Year!
Since 1980, the National Educator Award is given by the American Legion Committee on Youth Education to individuals or organizations that have help play a significant role in shaping the lives of students in during their teaching career or program that has helped shaped the lives of the students involved or advance the field of education overall. A document of past recipients is attached to this email. Individuals that are recipients of the National Education Award are recognized at the American Legion National Convention. This year’s National Convention will be at New Orleans, Louisianan from August 24-29, 2024. A press release will also be coming regarding this award!
Past recipients of the Award include: Tom Brokaw; Barbara Bush; Laura Bush just to name a few.
