The elementary is kicking off Native American Heritage Month today! We will spend the month learning Lakota words and history.
Reminder: The 1st OPEN HOUSE for the Lyman Wellness Center is tonight from 6:00-7:30pm. Come see the facility, check out potential membership options and learn how the equipment works. We're excited to see everyone.

We finished October with lots of Halloween fun and our first PBIS party! Every week, classes dump the 3R tickets they earned into large bags displayed in our trophy case. When they fill up a row of bags, they earn a party!

Tuesday November 5th Region 5B Volleyball will take place in Gregory SD at the Gregory Auditorium. First match will start at 6:00 pm CST and will be Gregory vs. the winner of Lower Brule and Marty. Lyman vs. Corsica-Stickney will start 20 minutes after the completion of the first match, approximately 8:00 pm CST. Good Luck to our Raider Volleyball Team.

Gayle Mohr brought her 4H crew to the elementary today to teach the kids about all the different things you can do in the program! The kids rotated through several very fun and engaging stations. Thank you to everyone who pitched in to make this happen!

One of our favorite days of the year.....FIRE STATION VISITS!!!!! The Lyman County fire departments give every student in the elementary the VIP treatment as they teach them about fire safety, show them tools and protective gear, let them spray a fire hose, give them a ride in a fire truck, and load them up with goodies!!! They give the absolute BEST experience a fire department can give!! THANK YOU Lyman County fire fighters!!!!

UPDATE! The middle school 6th grade and 7th grade VB matches for tonight vs. Philip start time will be adjusted. The start time will be moved from 4:00 pm CST to 4:30 pm CST. Those matches will still be played in the Raider gym. The start time for the 8th grade (High School C-Team) match will still start at 5:15 pm CST in the Gardens as originally scheduled. JV and Varsity will follow. Go Raiders!
Basketball cheerleading tryouts will be Monday, October 21st at 5pm in the Raider gym! Cheerleaders will be asked to perform
1. an introduction stating their name, age and any experience in gymnastics or cheer
2. 2 jumps
3. A basketball cheer
