As stated in a previous message - conditions were continually monitored. Due to these conditions, Lyman Grand March has been moved up to 7:45pm. Parents will be allowed to take pictures after. There will be no dance or post prom. All students were in or near the school at this time, so it was determined to still hold the Grand March.
ANNOUNCEMENT! Prom is here! This evening the Lyman High School students will be participating in Prom 2025. The public is welcome to attend Grand March at 8 pm in the Lyman Gardens! Looking forward to a fun evening in Presho!

Due to a fire near Lower Brule, the Lyman busses to Lower Brule will head north at Kennebec, this will cause the bus into Reliance to arrive later than normal, approx. 5:00-5:15pm.

49th annual Lyman-Jones Co Middle Choral festival. Kids from Jones Co, Lyman, Kadoka, Wall and Philip will attend. Practice at 1:00 in the gym and the concert is at 7:00 and is free to the public. Emily Muirhead, former LHS grad is coming back to be the guest director.

LYMAN SCHOOL SCHEDULE CHANGES: Please note the following school schedule changes for next week. WEDNESDAY, March 19: Lyman will host the District 8 FFA Contest in Presho. Due to the large number of students participating from other communities and school staff helping the contests, Lyman MS/HS students not participating in the contests will not be attending school that day. Lyman Elementary will have classes as usual. THURSDAY, March 20: The Lyman Raiders Boys Basketball Team qualified for the State Class B Tournament in Aberdeen and will be playing at 12noon. Lyman Schools WILL NOT be in session on March 20.. A potential makeup date will be communicated at a later time. Please contact the Lyman Schools if you have any questions.
There will be a SEND OFF for the GBB Team to the State B Tournament on Wed. March 12 at approx. 10AM. The bus will start down Main Street, Presho with escort to Lyman Elementary in Kennebec and proceed to Huron for their afternoon practice.
REMINDER: Lyman Schools are dismissing at 1:00PM on this Wed. (March 12) for previously scheduled Staff Professional Development. School will be in session ALL DAY Thursday, prior to the Lyman Raiders 1st Round State B game vs. Sanborn Central-Woonsocket at 7:45PM Thursday evening (March 13).

Raider fans, there will be a Pep Rally tomorrow at 3:10 pm in the Lyman Gardens to recognize. our GBB team as they get ready for their state tournament appearance and the BBB team as they will play in the SoDak 16 game against Gregory to earn a trip to the State B tournament. We will also be giving a huge shout out to the Lyman boys and girls wrestling teams as well as our eSports team. The community is welcome to attend. We finished off Dr. Seuss week with another outstanding and very entertaining performance!! Mr. Kieffer was the guest reader so Kinley planned the performance, recruited Mrs. Griffith, and designed all the hats!!! We had so much fun this week!!
CONGRATULATIONS! Congratulations to our BBB team on their 2nd RD region victory over Burke last night in Presho. The boys will travel to Mitchell today to play Lower Brule in the Corn Palace at 2:30 pm CST. The game will also be streamed on our Lyman Raiders live ticket. Good luck fellas and go Raiders!
