It was a special day at Lyman Elementary! In recognition of Special Education Awareness Day last week, Mrs. Reuman and several helpers planned an afternoon of educational activities and simulations. Students learned what it's like to work through tasks with different challenges. They learned how to show compassion for everyone whether disabilities are visible or not. They talked about how to interact with someone with disabilities and learned how much they actually have in common with each other. Thank you to all of our staff helpers and our outside volunteers, Marlene Reuman and Sarah Caslin, for putting this beautiful day together!
