The 8th grade science classes had fun making an in-person model of the solar system after calculating the distances scaled down to the size of a football field. Fun fact: if the sizes were proportional to the distances, the sun would be about the size of a golf ball and Pluto would be smaller than a flea egg!

We had a phenomenal guest in the elementary today!!! Frank Waln is an incredibly established Lakota musician and artist who grew up on the Rosebud Reservation. He now resides in Chicago and travels all over the world to share his gift and inspirational message with youth. He was kind enough to plan a trip around visiting our school and we are so grateful! Ladies and gentlemen, our seniors have completed their first 'graduation walk' as the elementary students honored them today!!! They were kind enough to spend time reading to the kindergarteners, so they were celebrated before leaving the building! Congratulations to all, enjoy the week!! We are so proud of each and every one of you!
Lyman MS and HS Students and Parents: We will be offering ala carte options for students the last week as a trial. All items are $1 and for now will be limited at 1 item/day. These purchases will be deducted from lunch accounts or can be paid in cash. There will be several options including chips, cookies, sports drinks, etc.

Congratulations to our students of the week!! Our fifth graders finished up their last transition day in Presho! HUGE thank you to all the staff who changed schedules, switched rooms, fed bellies, and everything else it took to pull this off. The kids loved every minute and are feeling excited for next year!
