ANNOUNCEMENTS! Raider fans, there are a couple announcements for today's activities. Lyman Middle School Boy's basketball team will host Colome today starting at 4:30 PM in the Raider Gym. There will be 2 games with Colome. The Raider Boy's Basketball Team will host Jones Co. today in the Gardens. JV will start at 6:30 pm CT, followed by the Varsity at approx. 7:45 pm CT. The Lyman District Staff attended a collaborative in-service today in Kadoka sponsored by the Three Rivers Coop. The day began with key note speaker Sean Covel, producer of Napoleon Dynamite and author of children’s books. During breakout sessions, some phenomenal presentations were given by Callie Hills, Brittany Reuman, Nikki Collins, Shayna Perry, and Kylie M Schindler. It was a great day!

This year, the first grade classes had the Adopt A Cow program come visit on several Wednesday afternoons. They learned about the types of dairy cows, what cows need to survive, and they even got to name a cow and calf. Their cow/calf pair is Jessica and Rosie!
Lyman School District classes will start at 10am tomorrow, January 16th due to cold temperatures and wind chill tomorrow morning. Temperatures are expected to rise through the day and all after-school activities will remain scheduled.
The third graders played quiz quiz trade last week to practice their vocabulary words! Making learning fun!
Due to the weather, we are postponing the Soup and Bingo Night scheduled for tomorrow in Lower Brule. We will work with the community center and others to find a new date. ~ Lyman JAG Program
TUESDAY BASKETBALL!! Tuesday, Jan. 16th the Girl's basketball and Boy's basketball teams will play in Presho @ the Lyman Gardens. The GBB team will host White River and the BBB team will host Winner. Schedule is as follows: GBB JV game vs. White River will start at 4 pm CT, BBB JV game vs. Winner will start approx. 5 pm CT, GBB Varsity game vs White River Lady Tigers will start at 6 pm CT, BBB Varsity game vs Winner Warriors will start approx. 7:30 pm CT. Please expect busses running approximately 60 minutes or more past usual pick up times. Lower Brule busses will not depart from Lower Brule earlier than 8:35am. See you tomorrow and drive safely.
