Raider wrestling fans, just a quick update on wrestling activities this weekend for the Lyman Raiders. Lyman AAU wrestling registration is tonight at 5:30 in the commons area of the Presho Gym. All kids 5 years and older are welcome to participate. It is $50 per kid to register.

ANNOUNCEMENT! Today we have a couple events for our middle school athletes. Middle School Girl's BB will travel to Colome today, games start at 4:00 PM CT. C team will play first followed by the B team. No A game today for the MS GBB team. Also, middle school and JV wrestlers will travel to Gettysburg today, wrestling starts at 6 pm. Come support our Lyman Raider athletes! Go Raiders!

Raiders of all ages- it's that time of year again! Our Holiday dress up days begin tomorrow with 'Christmas in Hawaii' wear shades and/or Hawaiian shirts!

Winter is here! Elementary parents, please make sure your kids have a coat, hat, gloves, boots and snow pants for recess. Students will go outside for recess as long as the wind chill temperature is 5 degrees and above. Even on warmer days, recess can be really chilly in the AM. Thank you!

Good morning, This is a reminder that the Lyman School District's Native American Education Committee is meeting this evening at the Golden Buffalo Convention Center in Lower Brule. This meeting is at 6pm and is open to the public. The District will provide information about programs and participation it provides and also discuss future opportunities and ways the District can support its students. REMINDER! Winter sports meeting for parents/athletes/coaches in Presho tonight at 6 pm CT. We will meet in the Raider gym, then GBB, BBB, sideline cheer, and wrestling will break off and visit with their respective coach. Have a great evening!

Save the Dates! Christmas Concerts! The middle school/high school concert will be on Wednesday, December 13th at 2:00. The elementary concert will be on Thursday, December 14th at 2:00. BOTH concerts will be in Presho.

The Lyman School District is looking for two (2) para-professional to serve in the Lyman Elementary Special Education department. This individual will help special education staff provide for physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities in special education setting. Assist in implementation of classroom programs, including self-help, behavior management, and instruction programs. One more reminder that tomorrow is picture retake day in both Kennebec and Presho. Pictures will begin around 8 am and they will end as soon as all retakes are complete. If you plan on attending, we would advise you arrive promptly. Have a great week!

ANNOUCEMENT! We will be having a parent meeting for all athletes participating in a winter sport on Wednesday Nov. 15th at 6 pm CT in the Raider gym. Mr. Buus will address the whole group and then each sport will break off and meet with their respective coach and discuss items for the season. We highly encourage at least one parent to attend with their student-athlete. If you are unable to attend, please reach out to your program's coach and go over the items discussed at this meeting. Thanks again for all you do for the student-athletes in the Lyman School District. Looking forward to an awesome winter sport season!

Lyman School busses are leaving Presho. Please plan on them arriving to their destinations potentially 45 minutes earlier than normal. The Veterans Day program just ended and students were dismissed for the day.

Good morning, This message is to inform you of a medical event that occurred with a staff member this morning at Lyman Elementary in Kennebec. Staff responded to the event immediately and Lyman County first responders arrived and took over care and transported to a medical facility. We will be supporting our students that were impacted directly by the event and will allow them to contact their parents or guardians if they wish to do so. We will continue the day with a normal schedule. Thank you for your time, we wanted to make sure we communicated to parents and guardians about the event.

Reminder Parents, any students participating in a winter sport that do not have a physical, please get your physical completed and paperwork turned in to the admin office prior to the start of your season. You will not be allowed to practice until that is complete. Thank you and have a great day.
