Congratulations Morgan Hoffman as the Lyman High School representative at the 2025 Academic Excellence Banquet hosted by the Associated School Boards of South Dakota. Morgan was selected for this honor because of her academic achievements throughout her high school career. Morgan attended the banquet on April 28th in Pierre. CONGRATULATIONS MORGAN!

Wednesday, May 14
• Baccalaureate Ceremony at 7:00 PM
• Location: Presho Lutheran Church
• Seniors are invited to attend. The class chose to dress up and not wear caps and gowns.
Thursday, May 15
• Feather-Tying Ceremony at 4:00 PM
• Location: Lower Brule High School Auditorium
• Native American students are invited to participate. Each student must have an eagle plume and a sponsor to tie their plume.
Friday, May 16
• Graduation Practice at 9:00 AM
• Attendance is mandatory for all seniors.
• After practice, students will check out of their classes throughout the day. They must complete all finals and final projects prior to checking out.
Saturday, May 17 – Graduation Day!
• Seniors must report to the high school music room at 1:00 PM for pictures.
• Graduation Ceremony begins at 2:00 PM in the Lyman Gardens.

Lyman Competitive Cheer will meet at 3PM tomorrow (Wednesday) for grades 7-12 at Lyman MS/HS.

Lyman Families: We want to take a moment to update you on some schedule changes for the remainder of the school year. First, on Thursday, May 15, Lyman hosts the Western Great Plains Athletic Conference Track Meet. Due to the needs of staffing associated with the event Lyman Schools will have a 1:00PM dismissal. The other schedule change is for the last day of school. The last day of school will be a 1:00PM dismissal on Thursday, May 22.

The fifth graders did a 'rainmaker' activity today experimenting with different temperatures of water. They talked about what conditions cause different types of weather and precipitation.

Due to the poor weather forecast for Thursday April 17th, the High School Track meet in Mission for Thursday April 17th has been moved to tomorrow, Wednesday April 16th. Field Events will start at 11 am CST, running events will start at 1 pm CST. The coaches and administration will work on the logistics issues that arise. Thank you and enjoy your Tuesday!
A couple changes to the activities schedule this week. MS Track athletes will be going to Chamberlain tomorrow. The meet will start at 2 pm CST. Our golfers will be going to Martin for the Bennett Co Invite tomorrow as well. Weather has caused us to make a few changes! We will keep you posted on any future changes that may occur! Go Raiders!
Good morning Lyman families. Just a reminder that this Wednesday (April 16), Lyman Schools have a 1:00pm dismissal for Staff Professional Development and the is NO SCHOOL on Friday (April 18) for Easter Break. Lyman Schools are in session on Monday, April 21.
