A reminder that Lyman Schools have an early dismissal for staff professional development on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 1:00pm. Here are approximate bus times for these early dismissals:
Kennebec-Presho bus: 1:15pm
Presho-Kennebec: 1:15pm
Lower Brule: West Brule - 1:45 and Community Center - 1:55pm
Reliance: 1:30pm
Vivian: 1:30pm

Raider Fans! Tonight we recognize our Boys and Girls Wrestling teams along with their parents for Parent's Night. Although the girls will not be present tonight because they will be wrestling in Ft. Pierre tonight at the Big Dakota wrestling tournament, we will recognize our girls and their tonight by announcing them prior to the boys! The boys will be facing off against Groton, Marion-Freeman, and Bennett Co. Wrestling will begin at 5:00 pm CST and we will be running two mats. We will recognize our wrestlers and their parents between the 2nd and 3rd duals. We will also be recognizing our AAU wrestlers as well. Looking forward to a great night of wrestling as we recognize our Lyman Raider wrestlers. Go Raiders!

Mrs. McClanahan's 8th grade science class visited the preschool to show them their salamanders as they are learning all about the letter S!
Tonight the Lyman GBB team travels to Highmore to take on the Highmore-Harrold Pirates. JV game starts at 6:30 pm with only 2 quarters, varsity will follow at approximately 7:15 pm. Good Luck Raiders.

The Lyman Board of Education meeting scheduled for Monday, Feb. 10 has been RESCHEDULED for Monday, Feb. 17.
We had so much fun celebrating the 100th day of school in the elementary!!! It was so fun seeing the ideas students came up with for the T-shirt decorating contest!
We had a little extra fun and put all of our 3R tickets in a pool. A golden ticket was hidden and student names were drawn for a chance to try and find it!! The students who found the golden ticket won an extra recess for their class!
Lyman Elementary students of the week!! We also enjoyed some outstanding talents involving music, sewing, and possibly the start of a new modeling career??? 😆🥰

ANNOUNCEMENT! Tomorrow our Wrestling Team travels to Wagner for the Wagner Invite! The Lyman GBB/BBB teams travels to Wall for a doubleheader. GBB JV will start at 2 pm CST/1 PM MST with 2 quarters of basketball. GBB Varsity will follow at approximately 2:45 pm CST/1:45 pm MST. BBB Varsity will follow at approximately 4:00 pm CST/3:00 pm MST. THERE WILL BE NO JV BBB GAME DUE TO SICKNESS AND INJURIES. Go Raiders!
Good Morning Raider Fans! Tonight the BBB/GBB teams host New Underwood in the Gardens. Tonight is also Parent's Night for our GBB/BBB teams and sideline cheerleaders. The schedule is as follows: GBB JV starts at 4:00 pm CST, followed by the BBB JV approx. 4:45 pm. We will recognized our Parents and athletes at approx. 5:30/5:45 pm CST. Parents, please be at the gym by 5:20 pm CST. We will announce the sideline cheerleaders first, followed by the GBB team and then the BBB team. After we recognize the parents and our athletes, our GBB Varsity game will start at approx. 6:15 pm CST or so. Varsity BBB game will follow at approx. 7:30 pm CST. It is also coaches vs. cancer night, come out and support cancer awareness! Go Raiders!
Elementary families!!! Our 100th day of school is quickly approaching and we are getting ready to celebrate!! Each student was given a white t-shirt to take home and decorate (see the picture for details). The students must wear their shirt at school this Monday, February 3rd to be entered in the contest. Our theme is 100 Days Sweeter but they do not have to follow it for the contest if they have other ideas. We LOVE seeing the creativity come out with our pumpkin contest every October, and can't wait to see what they come up with!!!

Good Afternoon Raider Fans! Just wanted to share a few updates to the activities schedule as we move closer to February. Here's what is in store for the next couple weeks. Wresting Quad for the boys tonight in Volga at Sioux Valley High School, teams participating will be Sioux Valley, Warner/Northwestern, Lyman, and Kingsbury Co. Tomorrow our wrestlers will be participating in the Kingsbury Co Invite. GBB will travel to Irene on Saturday Jan. 25th to play Vermillion, game time is 8:30 pm CST. BBB vs. Gregory on Monday Jan. 27th, JV starts at 6:30 pm CST, varsity will follow. This is rescheduled from earlier in Jan. BBB vs. Jones Co in Murdo on Tuesday Jan. 28th, JV starts at 6:30 pm CST, varsity to follow. MS BBB will travel to Colome on the 28th of Jan. 6th grade starts at 3:30 pm CST, 7th grade to follow, no 8th grade game. BBB/GBB vs. New Underwood on Thursday Jan. 30th in Presho. JV girls will start at 4:00 pm CST, JV boys will start approx. 4:45 pm CST, Varsity girls will start at 6:00 pm CST, Varsity boys will follow. This is also Parents night for both basketball teams. MS BBB 8th grade team will travel to Philip for their Invite, games start at 3:30 pm CST/2:30 pm MST. GBB/BBB doubleheader in Wall on Saturday Feb. 1st, game time TBD.
